It has been so long....

I couldn't even remember how to do a post! And my pictures won't move, so you'll just have to forgive me. Terri's blog did inspire me to try anyway.




It is great the Lord blesses family members with different talents. I love music, and probably hear and appreciate differently than my siblings. I am a horrible artist though, and don't see subtle differences that I pick up when listening or performing music. But Terri has a way of seeing and pointing out remarkable beauty in things I may just see as simple.

For example, Steve and I were able to actually go to the Grand Canyon and see it this weekend. About 30 years ago when we were in high school, Bonnevaires took a trip to Phoenix and stayed at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon on the way.

The only problem was it was in April, and we didn't arrive until after dark because of busses having to stop often for sick students :), and then we left early in the morning before the fog had lifted! So for years we've told people we had been to the Grand Canyon, but never saw it.

Well, on our trip with Terri and Greg, we travelled to the North Rim where we were able to see the Grand views of the Canyon, and view a sunset. It wasn't quite what I expected! I was expecting the usual beautiful colors of the sky during sunsets, but it would have never occured to me to watch the sunlight creep up the walls of the canyon, lighting different peaks and crags along the way. It was great to see Terri be in "Photographer's Heaven" and I can't wait to see the photos she gets. I'm posting one that I took with her old "point and shoot" that lets you see what I'm talking about!

Since I've lost it twice, and can't seem to move it once I've added it, I'll do another post with the picture.

I've been busy!

Okay, so that isn't totally true. But between painting and carpeting and tiling I just didn't take the time to blog.

Now school is out and I'm busier than ever at work! I got a little stressed today with a company, and ended up hanging up on the customer support guy. Actually, I think he clicked off first, which led to me clicking off, but I can't be certain he really did hang up. Maybe it was just a noise.

So another guy from their support tried to call me back an hour later, and then 2 hours later, but I didn't feel like talking. I'll let them stew about it over the weekend and call them on Monday.

Funny thing is this same company gave me a $50 gift card for dinner at Jaker's yesterday because I've done such an amazing job this past year! They raved on and on at our final review to my embarrassment. I kept reminding them of how much I call them on the carpet for things. The superintendent told them early on that if they wanted to make their software better, they ought to listen to my suggestions.

So, I'm taking tomorrow off, hopefully resting up a bit, and not thinking of software or work.

I haven't died, moved away, and my computer isn't broken!

You'd think I could find a few spare minutes to blog.

I just forget! That is my story and I'm sticking to it.

It is a good thing I send Travis's mission letters on to everyone, or you wouldn't know what I was up too.

But here is a short recap:

• We went on a cruise to the Caribbean.


• We had a great time.


• It was cold when we came home.


• Ben & Chennelle are having a baby, due Aug. 31st.


• Josh & Lindsie are having a baby, due around Oct. 5th.


• Troy goes 90 miles an hour and has the cutest grin!


• Lola jibber-jabbers about everything and picks up words quickly.


• Steve won the bread portion of the ward cook-off again this year with Poppy Seed Bread baked in these cute bundt shaped muffin tins that made the outside really crunchy and good with all the orange glaze!

That about sums it all up!

Finally!

I went to update my blog about a month ago, and only managed to change the background.

Where does time go? It's not like I'm terribly busy all of the time. But time is quickly slipping by nonetheless.

Steve and I have had an enjoyable little vacation over the holidays. We're both sad to see it end, and start work again. But we have less than four weeks before we get to go on another cruise to the Western Caribbean. It will be a nice little "happy" thought to get us through the upcoming snowy month.

I'll try to be better about this blogging. Ronda gave me a nice little book to record bits of inspiration I may receive. I'm going to try a little harder to let the Spirit work more diligently in my life. Hopefully I'll take the time to share some of them with you on this blog.

One of our counselors bore his testimony today, and though it was just a brief little sentence, it spoke to my heart. He made the comment that we all knew the Savior personally in our time before earth. We were sent here to earth to learn to know the Savior perfectly. That tells me that I have to walk in the path our Savior set so we can become more like Him and know Him perfectly. I won't say more of what I've been thinking because I just want to throw the thought out for others to ponder and apply to their own lives.
